ANZAC Day is commemorated on the 25th Day of April each year.
Derived from, Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, the acronym quickly became Anzacs.
Anzac Day remains a significant event across the nation,
as we join together as a greater community to honour the service of the Anzacs and our Allied forces.

It was on April 25th that the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed on the peninsula of Gallipoli,
resulting in an eight-month campaign against the Turkish Ottoman.
What was initially planned as a bold stroke resulted in the loss
of more than 8,000 Australian soldiers which had a profound effect on Australians back home.
A powerful legacy grew from this sacrifice, which has lived on in veterans, their families and the greater community for the years since.
2015 saw the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings.

ANZAC Day is a day of commemoration, respect and remembrance for our fallen soldiers,
men and women that served and gave up their lives for our country.
As a RSL Club, we commemorate ANZAC Day honorably and respectfully.
Once a year we have a service to remember and celebrate the lives that served our country.
Though the service is held once a year, Beenleigh RSL respects and remembers ANZAC soldiers everyday.

This year, we will be commemorating ANZAC Day on Thursday 25th of April.
